On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, Rosedale OTR and Cincy Betterment teamed up to host a Mardi Gras Happy Hour Benefit for the students of Roselawn Condon School. Roselawn Condon, located in the heart of Cincinnati, is part of the Cincinnati Public School District. About 96% of the student body is below the poverty level. All proceeds from the Mardi Gras Happy Hour went toward funding a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens for the students. An eventful night filled with beads, masks, and lots of Malibu, the benefit raised over $2,000, which will help more than sixty students experience the zoo for the first time.
What is Cincy Betterment?
Cincy Betterment is the local chapter of the Foundation for Community Betterment, a national organization dedicated to community enhancement. The network of individuals involved with Cincy Betterment believe that a simple gesture that touches just one life can positively impact an entire community. Founded in 2018, Cincy Betterment seeks to continue this “ripple effect” in the Queen City.
