Guest Spotlight: Ashley & Mike

“This was our restaurant.”

This love story starts in the dead of winter, on a cold, snowy Monday, when a friend of Ashley recommended half-price Keystone mac and cheese to warm up. On one of many double dates with friends, Ashley and Mike made the trip from Florence to Covington and soon fell in love with the Fleetwood Mac, Keystone, and each other.

Drawn in by the “fun and flavorful” menu, as well as the central Covington location, Mike and Ashley have had their fair share of memories at Keystone over the years. From Mike’s surprise 30th birthday party, to dinner following their engagement, Keystone Covington has played a role in the evolution of Ashley and Mike’s relationship.

The peak moment came on December 31st, 2016…their New Year’s Eve wedding.

“We wanted to serve appetizer-type food that people knew and were familiar with. It was easily customizable, too.”

After a few initial decision-making meetings, Keystone’s catering manager, Brittany, arrived at The Sanctuary in Northern Kentucky on New Year’s Eve to serve mac and cheese, sliders, and more to Ashley and Mike’s wedding guests.

Now a happily married couple, Ashley and Mike continue to frequent Keystone as loyal customers. “It’s central to everything we do. We usually start our nights here, then go see live music around town.” Keystone prides itself in being a staple to the stories of customers around the Tri-state area for almost a decade.
